I'm Lynne Wilson, MA
French and German Tutor

I am a highly qualified tutor with many years' experience in tuition of French and German. I graduated with an MA Degree in German and French from Glasgow University.

All levels:
I tutor all ages and all levels. I've had experience teaching young children from the age of 3 years old (a perfect age to start - using games and songs), through primary to senior school with all SQA and GCE exams.

All ages:
I can also teach university language students and adults who wish to learn a language for careers, leisure or moving/ travelling abroad.

Which locations:
I can teach either in Barrhead at my own home or at the pupil's home. Sometimes it might be preferable to meet in cafes/libraries. I can also travel to most areas of Glasgow, Paisley and parts of Ayrshire that are within a radius of 15 miles from Barrhead.

My availability

I'm available to tutor any time, evening, day or week - other bookings permitting of course! Course times are Monday - Sunday 09.30 to 20.00

I offer private tuition in my own home and can also travel to the student's home or to a business location.

Alternatively, for individual tuition, I can also travel to a location of your choosing.

Corporate language courses

If you want to learn French or German for official communication, I can help you. I offer tuition for all ages and levels. I provide both private and corporate tuition for a nominal extra.

Cost -

Please see the table for the prices applicable if the student visits me. However if required to travel to the student's home, there is an additional charge of £2.00-£5.00 depending on the travel distance. A reduced rate is available for a 10 week "block booking" or if a 2 hour session lesson is booked.

Student Exams:
CFE Nationals; Highers; Advanced Highers and University Exams (including Oxbridge entry tests).

In-house language tuition for employees:

I am happy to visit your premises to discuss this and give you a quotation. You will find my rates much more reasonable than the big language schools.
Please try to organise tuition as early in the school year as possible. As expert and dedicated as I am, I can't work miracles in only a few weeks before the exams!

I have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) disclosure certificate.
